HS01 | Working at Height – Level 1

The general aim of the course is to learn how to use personal protective equipment in different work conditions. Participants will master the dangers of working at heights, general regulations, the use of personal protective equipment in different categories. They will also learn how to protect equipment and simple inspection / inspection methods.

Trainees will be gained both theoretical and practical skills during the course in terms of fall protection, job positioning and restriction. The keyword of this course is practical and abundant. Trainees will have the chance to improve themselves in climbing techniques in temporary / permanent systems and structural anchors. The course also includes a demonstration with valid recovery techniques.

Prerequisite

Being physically and mentally fit, reasonably fit to work at height

Who should attend?

Those working at height, and who have access to work at height
Those who need equipment support to work at height (Excluding Rope Access)
HS02 training is recommended if participants have training needs related to casualty rescue at height.

Occupational health and safety regulations
Dangers of working at height
How to access the hazardous area and provide effective control
The use, clothing, features and limitations of PPE
Visual inspection and liquidation requirements of PPE
Job restriction, job positioning and fall protection techniques
Anchor point selection and control
Climbing practice using permanent lifeline on vertical stairs
Climbing practice using twin lanyards on vertical stairs
Drawstring temporary fall arrest systems
Use of personal rewind lifelines
Temporary horizontal lifeline
